The One World Center for Autism is a grass-roots Prince Georges County non-profit organization that recognizes that Autism is a unique disorder with a myriad of challenges for those living with it.
These challenges include an absence of coordinated services for individuals with autism, their parents, advocates, and service providers in our county.
We are a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing the social, psychological, educational, and physical well-being of children, adolescents, young adults and their families living with Autism in Prince Georges County, Maryland and surrounding communities.
Our organization’s mission is to link those living with autism in Prince Georges County, Maryland to their world through family support, informational resources, community awareness, and individual therapeutic and medical care.
OWCA Programs and Services
The programs and services provided by the One World Center for Austism directly empower children, adolescents, and young adults living with autism by providing early identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder, comprehensive medical consultations, and multi-disciplinary therapeutic interventions.
Our goal is to enhance social skills, relationship building, communication, self- regulation, behavioral and educational success.
Our Family Support services are built on family and professional partnerships At these visits an autism professional will partner with your family to create a Family Autism Action Plan based on an assessment of your family’s and child’s/ youth’s challenges. We will collaboratively prioritize these challenges and create goals to address your unique situation. Related resources to help your family and child meet these goals will be provided. The Autism Action Plan (AAP) is re-evaluated and/or revised every 3-6 months to ensure its effectiveness for the child and family.
We offer personalised individual support services that directly empower children, adolescents, and young adults living with autism by providing early identification of Autism Spectrum Disorder, comprehensive medical consultations, and multi-disciplinary therapeutic interventions Our goal is to enhance social skills, relationship building, communication, self- regulation, behavioral and educational success.
We give back to our community to foster greater awareness and understanding of autism as well as the challenges faced by fellow residents living with this disorder. These services are critical in creating a supportive community and strong partnerships with community organizations.
