ASD Medical Management Program
This future program provides a comprehensive evaluation of a child or youth with ASD consisting of a review of their general medical history, review of systems, nutritional assessment, Developmental history, behavioral assessment, educational placement, and an assessment of family history and support. Once this evaluation is concluded, a summary of recommendations is discussed with the family and an Autism Action Plan (AAP) is created in partnership with the family. This plan is re-evaluated and/or revised every 3-6 months to ensure its effectiveness for the child and family. This service is also rendered by a general pediatrician with a special interest in autism and children with related special health- care needs.
