Volunteers

Volunteers are critical to our success at the One World Center for Autism. Our volunteers serve as partners in implementing our mission and programs and are essential to our day-to-day operations.

Whether you are a high school, college, or university student, or an adult with an interest in serving those with special needs, we welcome you!

Volunteers can assist us in a variety of ways:

  • Board development
  • Respite program assistants
  • Family Fun Day/special events
  • Child and youth social skills program assistants
  • Fundraising and resource development
  • Childcare assistants
  • Grant-writing
  • Needs assessments and evaluations

Background Checks: Please note that for the safety of our participants and for Compliance with Maryland State law we perform background checks on all of our volunteer applicants. Our background checks are performed by an independent company Coeus Global. Thank you and we look forward to working with you!


The One World Center for Autism, Inc. is a 501c3 grassroots non-profit serving individuals living with autism and other related special needs in Prince Georges County, Maryland. Our mission is to empower those living with autism through family support, community awareness, and individual therapeutic and medical services.
